The Challenge
Allucent is a rapidly scaling SaaS company with $20M ARR. Their Salesforce org was a house of cards: built without a proper data model, full of broken automations, and the sales team was working around problems daily. Accounts were duplicated, leads weren’t routing correctly, and the org couldn’t support their growth trajectory. Most consultants would’ve recommended a “shut it down for 3 months and rebuild” approach. That wasn’t an option — their sales team couldn’t stop selling.
Our Solution
We took a high-risk, high-reward approach: rebuild the data model mid-flight. We created a parallel architecture in sandboxes, meticulously migrated data without breaking active deals, deployed fixes in small batches during low-volume windows, and had rollback plans for every deployment. We worked nights and weekends when the sales team wasn’t heavily using the system, ensuring zero disruption to their revenue operations.
The Results
Over 6 months, we completely reconstructed Allucent’s Salesforce foundation while their sales org kept hitting quota. We fixed the account/contact hierarchy, rebuilt lead routing with proper assignment rules, restored data integrity to 99.2%, and eliminated 23 broken automations. Sales cycle time dropped 45% because the system now worked for them instead of against them. Their team could finally see their pipeline accurately and trust their data.
Cloud Nexus has helped with an implementation from a previous system, configured, trained, which included a plan, implementing reports, and all the items that we defined as important when we set out to do this. Their price was substantially less versus what consulting firms bid on the project. Timely, professional, knowledgeable, and responsive. A Class Act in the life sciences business world of consulting!

FAQ
Your Questions Answered
How do you rebuild a data model without downtime?
Parallel architecture. We built the new model in sandboxes, created detailed migration maps, then deployed data changes during low-usage windows (nights, weekends). We moved in batches and monitored heavily. The key is having rock-solid rollback plans — we never deployed anything we couldn’t instantly revert.
What was the biggest risk?
Breaking active deals. We had deals in every stage of the pipeline — some closing that week. We created a “protected deals” list and made sure no migration touched records with active activity. We worked around the revenue team, not against them.
How long did the rebuild take?
Six months total. But it wasn’t “shut down for six months.” It was deliberate, paced improvements every 2 weeks. By month 2, the team noticed improvements. By month 6, they had a world-class foundation.
What was different about your approach vs. a traditional rebuild?
Traditional: Plan for 3 months, execute 3-month freeze, hope it works, recover for 2 months. Our approach: Continuous delivery, small batches, immediate rollback capability, zero business disruption. We learned from DevOps practices and applied them to data architecture.
